Abstract:

The fourth volume of Khalil Sakakini’s diaries, Between Father and Son: Khalil Sakakini’s Letters to His Son Sari in America, 1931-1932, differs from the first three in that it collects together the letters that he wrote to his son Sari during the initial years of his university education in Pennsylvania. During this period, Sakakini had stopped writing in his diary and replaced it with almost daily letters to his son, which serve as letter-diaries.
